MATRIMONIAL. -A quiet wedding took
place in Mien Avenue Methodist cburch
Toronto, on Saturday afternoon, 13th
inst., when Alva J. H. Walker, of Wing -
ham, was married to Miss Olive Chap-
man, of Mount Forest, and formerly of
Wingham. The ceremony was perform•
ed by Rev. W. B. Caswell. Mr. and
Mrs. Walker will reside in Wingham

ing born here and is a son of James and
Mrs. Walker of Wingham.
SINCLAtR-QUERIN.-'(bis action was
tried before His Honor Judge Doyle at
a Special Sitting of the County Court,
at Goderieh, on the 23rd inst. and was
brought by the plaintiff to recover
damages for injuries sustained. while
being ejected from the defendant's
Hotel .on October nth Igmo. At the
close of the plaintiff's case the action
was dismissed with costs. There will
likely be an application for new trial.

Wishart, B. A., tied the matrimonial
knot, at the home of the bride's mother
between Dr. Percival W. Richards, of
MacLeod, Alta., and Miss Mary Edna,
eldest daughter of Mrs. James Elliott,
Alexander street, Brussels, in the pres-
ence of a company of relatives and near
friends. The Wedding March was
played by Chas, Richards, of Hamilton,
brother of the groom and the petite
bride, tubo was given away by her
brother John, and was aceompauied by
little Miss Irene Coulter, a cousin from
Millbank, dressed in white and
harrying a 'beautiful basket of flowers
slid her part very neatly indeed,
Ceremony took place before a bank of
Bowers. The bride was costumed in a
most becoming gown of Duchess
satin trimmed with baby Irish lace and
had a bridal veilt and orange blossoms.
She carried a pyramid of cream roses.
