Death of Mrs. J. Robb.—The Mir-
ror, Maidstone, Saskatchewan, of. May
7fh, refers to the death of a former
Brussels lady and a sister.in-law of Mrs.
Wm. 'Work.•=An' unsually and tragic
death occurred last Friday when Mrs.
J. Robb of town suffered a paralytic
stroke In her left side expired a few
hours later. The deceased left home
Thursday afternoon for the Robb faro,
seven miles north-west of town. Re-
turning that evening she called in at
the home of Mrs. Jno. Currie and was
apparently in her usual health. She
left without any Indrlca'tion of the com-
ing seizure. The nextt morning at a-
bout 5.30 o'clock, 'Mr. Ferrol, whois
working at Fred Mdl,araenis, was hunt-
ing saw a

es just off the .trail. Ole investigated
and found Mrs. Robb in it unconscious
beside the wheel. This .was about two
miles from 'the Currie hone. The
stroke mush have attacked her a very
few (minutes after .her departure. .The
unfortunate woman was brought into
town immediately and iDr. Howell sum-
moned. He pronounced the seizure
a paraalytic stroke. A telegram was
despatched to Jack Robb, an only son,
attending Saskatoon Collegiate. At ti
o'clock the e0d carne. The bereaved
husband and Mr. Ad Mrs. Currie stere
at the bedside during the Last moment;.
Mrs. Robb never regained' consciousn-
ess. The funeral was held in the
United Chydh, Maidstone, on Suirday,
May 3rd, alt 2,30, ane was conducted
Jointly by Rev. Huddleston, resident
pastor of the church, and Mr. 'Carter,
visiting ,vicar of the Anglican church
from Emmanuel College; the deceased
having been actively affiliated with both
churches. Mrs. Bennett presided at
the organ, swpported by the choir.
Mrs. (Dr.) Howell rendered a solo en-
titled "Gently Lead Us 'Lord."' The
afternoon was fine and a large a con-
course of people followed the hearse
to The cemetery; there being over one
hundred cars. Rev. Huddleston read
the committal .service. A profcts 'n
of fragrant wreathes were massed upon
the grave. Tire deceased was born in
Mexborough, 10 the north riding of
Yorkshire, England, and carne to this
continent when only seven years of
age, at first living in Brussels, Ont., and
later moving to North Dakota, from
whence she came to Maidstone 10 1907.

Non, Mrs. Ann McViCRL having Sat-
urday attained her 100th birthday.
The birthday of Teeswater's grand
old lady was marked by an official
celebration whish :vas put on by the
Town Council and various local organ-
izations, Mrs. McVicar was present-
edwith a wicker armchair by the
Town Council, and she was• given a
bouquet of 100 flowers .by the In-
stitute ladies, Mrs. McVicar was
barn .in Scotland on May 10, 1825,
and aithoughshe has lived in this
town for over 50 years, she can speak
very little but the Gaelic language.
She is still hale and hearty, lives
alone and 18 able to attend to all her
household ditties. Her sight is per-
fect. Her husband died many yeare
ago.

Huron County passed to her reward
at her 'home in Belgrave On Sunday,
May 17., in the person of Mary Ann
Wray, beloved wife of George Daly..
Deceased was born In the County of

ago slue and her husband came to live
in East Wawanosh and about twenty
years ago they went to live in Belgrave.
On the 11th of May this grand old
couple celebrated the 54'h anniversary
of theirswedding. One daughter, Mrs.
H. T, Perdue, of East Wawanosh,vsur-
vives, another daughter, Mrs. J. 3.'Fer-
guson, passed away several yearn ago.
Funeral services were 'held In Belgrave
Methodist church on Tuesday after-
noon, condulcted by her pastor, Rev.
Mr, Moores. Interment Was made in
Brandon cemetery, The pallbearers
Were: Messrs, Thos. Scandretlt, Neil Mc-
Crea,
cCrea, H. Wheeler, Matthew Fergusar,
henry Johnson and John Coultas.
Those from a distance who attended
the funeral were: W. J. McKague and
daugliter, of Toronto; Mrs, Prentice
and George Ferguson of Taranto; Mr.

William Elston, of 2nd Con. and Miss
Nellie Elston, Winghaan, are in Win-
nipeg attending the funeral of their
sister, Mrs. John MccKague, who passed
away on Wednesday morning. Deceas-
ed had been in poor 'health for some
months. Six children survive along
with her husband. They were former
residents of 'Morris Twp.

death of an uncle of Walter Yuill,
Con. 4: Without kiting called upon to
endure tti prolonged illness, James
Yuill slipped quietly away on Sun-
day afternoon, April 26111. He was
in bis 84th year, being born March
25th, 1842, Dear Belleville, Hastings
county. He cattle to the 5th 0onees-

years ago and settled on the farm
from which his .remains were borne
to Maitland ceunetery on Tuesday
