This year's annual convention of. the
Canadian Weekly Newspapers Assnci7-
tion will be held In :Winnipeg, beginn-

this year's place of 'meeting was the
result of invitations from the Winnipeg
city council, the Winnipeg board of
trade and the Provincial Government
of Manitoba.

Probe Into House Fire.- Monday's
Torontd Telegram refers to a fire next
door to ,George Brown, formerly of
Brussels, and the excitement did net
aid Mr. Brown's poor health at present:
-District Fire Chief „Bell has asked
police and fire 'marshal offircials to in-
vestigate a blaze which destroyed the
home of J. Seltzer at 51 Laws street
at 9.40 ,''clock Saturday might. . "The
blaze vas, going through the roof of
the house," and it is a three-sterey
brick dweilin•g. The street was filled
with smoke, and a young ,girl phoned
the alarm in. When we got there
there was no one in the house," said
Chief Bell to -day. "The tenant told,
me he left home at 8.15." The dam-
age was placed et $1,500 to 'the house
end $500 to the furnishings.

ments 'have been made at the Ontario
Agricultural College to continue the
Farmers' Excursions which were renew-
