of this locality, was taken to the hos-
pital on Sept. 18111 in a very serious
condition, after he had fallen 60 feet
when a construction tower toppled ov-
er at the new Whittier school at Oak
Grove. Tuck has a chance to live,
hospital authorities stated Saturday
night, although he sustained a fractur-
ed left wrist, a compound fracture of
the right shoulder, severe lacerations
about the face, and possibly misplaced
vertebrae. Accident said to have hap-

Bloevale School Fair

Bluevale School Fair was a grand
success in point of exhibits, attend-
ance and receipts. The cold weather
did not deter those interested from
taking part in what has become a com-
munity event. This is:the 8th year of
the Fair. There has never been a fail-
ure, andialthough school attendance in
the four schools exhibiting, is reduc-
ed„to 80 pupils, these made a total of
over BOO mattes in all classes. Vege-
tables and flowers were good exhibits,
and the calves made a fine Showing.

Concert given in the evening was

given by Mrs. R. Alowbray, White -
clench, • were much appreciated
Other performers were Miss M. Gar -
ohm and Miss Morrison, who sang very
sweetly. Miss H. f3randon performed
very acceptably as accompanist, and
the I0eal orchestre's music ie always
enjoyed.
Total receips of the day amounted
to over $200 , most of which will be
used in paying prizes.
The members of Wornen's Institute
are grateful to the ladies of the Sec.
tions who so generously aided in pen-
viding frai the School Fair supper.
Funds derived from it will assist in
providing street lights for Binevale.
