Mrs. Inglis hospitably served tea and
the ladies took§ advantagel of a few
minutes' farewell chat with Mee. Mc

PRESENTATION. — Moucrieff and
vicinity ie sorry at the lose we have
suetained in the removal of D, G. and
Mrs. McQuarrie and family .to Listo-
wel. They have long been loyal and
faithful workers in Moncrielf church.
Mr. McQuarrie was Elder and Sab-
bath School Supgrintendene and Mrs.
McQuarrie was also a capable and
willing worker iu Auxiliary, 'Ladies'
Aid and Sunday School work. The
family also did their part !whenever
circumstances permitted them.
Much as we regret theta removal from
our midst, Mrs. McQuarnie's health
made such a move imperative but we
hope for improvement. On a recent
Wednesday the friends of the family
very quietly presented them with two
beautiful leather chairs and all hope
they may be long spared to enjoy
them. The gift was accompanied by
the following address :—

We are entitled to 3. Forward plans

Miss Cora Alcock, Norse. of Akron,
Ohio, of the People's Hospital, where
there are 150 bede, is home for a holi-
day visit. Miss HelenNatton, Nurse,
a cousin of the Alcocks, is now on the
staff of the 1Vbrthville Tobureular
Sanitarium.

Merchant, Tessier, Sask., to TILE POST
forwarding this renewal ;subscrip-
tion says in part. "We look forward
to its weekly visit but sometimes dis-
appointed by the scarcity of news
from old home town, Perhaps they
are all too buey. We are having
wonderful: weather, with scarcely
any snow and roads like pavement.'
Mr. Dobson is an Ethel old boy, who is
well remembered. He is a brother to
Harvey Dobson, of Ethel.
Meeting of the Ethel Public Lib-
rary supporters was held Wednesday
of lase week when officers for 1924
were elected. W. O. Bisbee continues
to fill the Presidential chair. A can-
vass for new members will be made
with the idea of having 50 families on
roll. This should not be difficult as
about 50 new books and reprints have
just been added to the Library as well
as the very best in current magazines.
Membership fee is within the reach of
all so we hope for a great increase of
interest in tale local institution, "In
all kinds of weather let's all work to-
gether" and see what can be done,

warded to Toronto. Society is entitled
to 8delegates to the Provincial Con-
vention that will meet in Toronto on

lovers of flowers to attend this annual
gathering.
