Macdon- ald expounded the National Policy to Perth electors in this town. This after- noon a new and younger prime minister proclaimed the benefits of tariff protec- tion, and as he set upon the platform at St. Marys Rink, Rt, Hon. Arthur Meig- hen used the same easy chair which Sir John did on the occasion referred to many years ago. This link with en historic occasion is the property of R. T. and Mrs, Gilpin, of St. Marys, who pro- vided the chair from their home.
