He was been at Lochiel, Glengarry County, Ontario, in 1852 and spout the earlier part of his active life in the vicinity of Wal- ton Huron U0 ant Y• lie went to Winnipeg in 1881 as au employee of the 0. P. R. and later in the 80's, moved to Victoria, where he had a contracting business and served in the City Council. Deceased moved to Vancouver in 1904 where he took an active putt in all civic welfare projects and set'ved the city for several terms, Pifer to his death, he was living at Custer, Wash., with hie ,son. 111r.
