Rev, J. H. McBaip, B. A , an old
Atwood boy and well known to many in
Brussels, has just completed a three
years' pastorate of Trinity Methodist
church at Kitchener, and will go to
First Methodist church at Oshawa. His
pastorate in Kitchener has'been a very
successful one, The total contributions
m the past year were $29,400, as com-
pared with $19,300 last year and $1i,7oo
three years ago. At the congregational
meeting last week Mr. MaBatn was
presented with an address of apprecia-
tion.

The Annual Convention of tiro Hur-
on County. Temperance Association
was held in ()Marin etreet church,
Clinton, Wednesday ufternon, and
evening, of last week, A largea num-
ber of delegates w

points of the County and successful
meetings were held. Afternoon was
taken up with hearing reports, etc.,
and addresses by Rev. De. Pidgeon,
Toronto ; Rev. Mr. Peters, Belgrave ;
and Rev. Mr. Ciyedale, Fordwich. A
banquet was served by local W. 0. T,
U. iu the lecture room at 6 o'clock,
which was followed by after dinner
speeches. In the evening Rev. Dr,
Pidge:in, wbn IN President of the Pro-
vincial Social Sat vice Council, again
spoke, hie subject being 'The New
Citizenship." His address was elo-
quent and inspiring. Much of the
discussion was upon Social Service
work and all the speakers introduced
new ideas in regard to the plans for
such work throughout the County,
During the evening the quartette of
the church rendered a selection and

ed a successful Convention. Follow-
