the news was made public last Monday
afternoon than F. H. Gilroy, the genial
and capable Manager of Brussels Branch
of the Bank of Nova Scotia, had bees
appointed to Petrolia Branch and was
likely to go in the near future, general
regret was expressed brit alt felt he had
justly earned the promotion. Mr. Gil-
roy came to town in 1903 as teller on the
lopeeing of the Branch, associated with
A E. Mellish, the Manager, and spent
3 years here then was removed to King-
ston branch and later to head office
He returned to Brussels as Manager 13
years ago which was a pleasure to both
the public and himself. He not only
attended to his duties at the Bank in a
business -like manner but found time to
take a deep interest in church, society
and community aff firs, so that his go•ag

You hear lots about the bread
that mother used t0 make
Suppose you try the bread
that mother, now Wye. Be-
cause she knows good baking
when she tastes it, mother
has decided that Willie' bread
offers more in quality, quanti-

anything she can bake at
