Leckie, of Wroxeter, was the scene of
a very happy .gathering on Saturday
afternoon, March 12th, when a numb-
er of the young friends of their daugh-
ter, Georgina, being invited to share
her 55th birthday celebration with her.
The Little- folk played many games
after which they were invited to the
dining room where they were served
from very prettily decorated tables.

Rae, widow of the late James French,
passed away on Saturday, March 12,
in her85th year. She had lived for
over 40 years in that neighborhood,
respected and loved by all who knew

active service in Frauce, 4 of whom

Walkerton's claim against Cheeky
for default of a game scheduled to be
played on July 81 was not clearly set
forth or defended, and the matter was
referred to a committee,
Player Pequegnat, Guelph, who
took part in a league game with Tees-
water,9t Brussels, presented his case
in writing and was defended by M. B.
Dunnage, Guelph. All the charges
against this player were withdrawn.
Player Darrel, of the same city, tak-
iug part in the same game, with the
same team, did not defend himself in
any way and his case was referred to
the O. B. A. A. with a recommeeda
tion that be be censured.
The suspension of Teeswater was
raised after they bad defended them-
selves on the stand taken in 1920. M.
B. Dulmage, Secretary of the O. B. A.
A., was present and addressed Lite
meeting and spoke on protection of
the N. W. B. A. in Ontario playoffs,
He asked that all amendments and
nominations for the 0 B. A, A., be
made et once and forwarded to him,
The adoption of he Spalding ball was
endorsed and the offer of medals for
the players of both senior and junior
champions -was accepted.
The formation of a Pub -Committee
of 3 was adopted. Committee will be
composed of President and Secretary
of the league, with one member to be
elected annually. Tbie committee
will handle all pretests and business
demanding immediate attention. A
Nertheru League junior series will be
opened in 1921, the junior players to
be eligible to play eeniov for their club
but to protest their 0. B. A. A, stand-
ing, as junior must not play 1'tiI more
than 3 senior games.

Council met on March 14th, with
the members all present. Minutes of
meeting read and confirmed.
Deputation from Blyth waited on
the Council rt.il in reference to a grant
from the township in aid of the Mem-
orial Hall in that village.
On motion of Gillespie and Coupes
5100.00 was voted for this purpose.
.Engineer's report on the Sturdy
drain was read to several of the par-
ties interested. Report was provision-
ally adopted and Olerk instructed to
have necessary By -Law in connection
therewith prepared for next meeting
of Council.
Moved by Mr. Gillespie—Mr,
Straugbau, that Reeve and Oouncillor
Coultas inspect the Taylor bridge,
Con. 6, and if the Contract is complet-
ed to their satisfaction to pay the

and splendid report of the meeting
held in London recently regarding the
electrification of the L. 11, and B.
branoh of the G. T. R.
Treasurer reported that he had re-
ceived recently from the Dep. of Pub-
lic Highway a cheque for $1217,09 be-
ing 20 per cent of amount expended
on roads and bridges in the township,
last year.

Last Saturday night Tames Speir ar-
rived home from the hospital, whore he
spent the 5 weeks prior. Mrs. Speir
went to Fergus and accompanied bite to
Brussels. The patient is regaining his
strength and will soon be able to be
about as usual we hope.

as travelling representative fer the
Shenn Lightning Rod Company of
Guelph, He attended a meeting of the
Co. last week. Mr. Doll has spent sev-
ers. years in the lightning rod business
and bis experience should stand him in
