ding was solemnized at the home of
Jno. and Mrs, Johnston, Wednesday,
March 9th when their eldest daughter,
Melissa E., was united in holy bonds
of -matrimony to David W., son of
Jno.land Mra. Pltblada, •of Goderieh.
At 6 o'clock the bride entered the par-
lor leaning on the arm of her father,
to the strains of the wedding march
played by Mrs, George Newman,
cousin 0f the bride, and took her place
under an arch of evergreens and white

Wilson, Bluevale. Bride looked
charming in a beautiful dress of white
satin, wearing a bridal veil, caught
with orange blossoms and carrying a
boquet of white carnations and maid-
en hair fern. The bridesmaid was
daintily dressed in white silk trimmed
with beads. Bride's going away dress
was a sand colored suit trimmed with
braid, and wore a sand colored hat
to match, During the eigning of the
register Mre, (Rev.) Wilson sang, "He
knows the way." Groom's gift to the
bride was a brooch set with pearls,
to the bridesmaid a cameo ring, to the
groomsman a set of gold cuff links
and to the organist a pearl brooch.
Mr. and Mrs. Pitblado left Thursday
night for their future home in Goder-
ich. Their many friends wish them a
long and,happy wedded life,

Eruestitle Raynard was born March
2ttd, 1882, lo Ethel, Ontario, and died
at the Drayton Hospital, N. Oak, Feb,
27511, 1921, after a short and serious
Mimes of heart trouble, The funeral
was held from the M, E, church in
St. Vincent, Rev, Edwin Trigg, who
spoke heartfelt words of sympathy
and comfort to the bereaved family,
officiated. The Eaetet'u Star officers
gave the impressive ritualistic cere-
mony for the dead and placed sym-
bolic flowers on the casket, The de-
ceased had been a member of Pem-
bina Chapter for many years. She
was brought up from infancy in the
Methodist church and became a merti-
ber when 16 years of age. When

with her husband, she traneferred ber
mernber•ehip to the M. E, church of
Joliette, where she was ever a consis-
tent member, doing her work faith-
fully and willingly, with the interests
of her church and community always
at heart. In the untimely death of

ENTERED INTO REST,—A fine wo-
man passed to her reward Wednesday
of last week in the person of Agnes
M. Milne, widow of the late ex -Reeve
James Turnbull, in her 78th year.
She was born at Galt, married Mr.
Turnbull 54 years ago at Ayr and
moved to his homestead, 4th Con.,
where they resided up to the demise
of Mr. Turnbull 2 years ago. The sub-
ject of this notice had been a hearty
woman, and did her part as wife,
mother and neighbor with a happy
heart and a ready band. Owing to
the ill health of her husband for 8 to
10 years she had a long period of care-
taking that told an her as she did her
duty. For some time deceased had
made her home with her daughter,
Mrs. Geo, McFarlane, where she pass-
ed at
way after a brief illness, Funeral
took place Friday afternoon last, Rev.
Mr, Kennedy; Cranbrook, taking
charge of the service in the absence of
the regular pastor. Interment was
made in the family plot Brussels
cemetery. Pallbearers were 3 sons, 2
sons-in-law and ; a grandson, Frown
a distance attending funeral were Jno.
McCash, Mee. Welsh and Mrs. Wat-
son, Kincardine, and Jno. L. Turnbull,
Listowel, The surviving members of
the family are :—Jas., London ; J. G.,
W. M. and Mrs. McFarlane, Grey
township, and Mrs, J. Doig, Wroxe-
ter, who share in the sympathy of a
wide circle of friends in theloss of a
splendid mother.

before locating in Toronto a couple of
