A gang of Colorado students -caught a cowboy and tor the fun of it "trimmed his whiskers," or rather a 6 inch flowing moustache, and then gave him his lib- erty. GERMANY might as well make up her mind first as last that the terms of the armistice will have to be complied with, The agreement is no scrap of paper and signed and sealed with the full know- ledge of what it contained. Full repara- tion must be made tor the wanton de- struction and tremendous losses inflicted when the Kaiser was on the march. It would be a very sorry thing if any power could ride rough shod over another and then withdraw when they could go no further and call it square, The lessons of the terrible war most be learned. How slow people are to take warning by the crooked paths of others, Just now 1t cigar Morton Brown, a young married man, 27 years of age, is in the toils be- cause he stole t$it,aio in cash and legal papers valued at ;Sro.000. He gambled in stocks and robbed the Bank of Mon- treal, in which he was teller, to keep up his payments. Confession and restora- tion of a good share of the spoil will hatdly save him from durance vile, He did not profit by the misteps of others but was caught in the getcich, gaick schemes that are spread to trap the un- wary. There is only one answer to the query if the people desire the removal of the men• ace aid that is "'Yes." The utter folly of carrying Provincial Prohibition and still permitting a neighboring Province to deluge Ontario with bad, high priced booze is an insult to the intelligence of the great majority who said "Away with grog," If ever a moral living people, whose good opleions have been trifled whit for years, should unitedly speak out April reth is the day, Imported bonze must go if you love sobriety, are loyal to yodr fatally and community and desire to see the law upheld CAR OF u ar Expeeteei to arrive, such.
