Mrs. Win, J. Johnston, of Glads-
tone, Man is spending a couple of
months with relatives here.
A couple of hunters captured a
nice ted fox in the B Line swamp
north of the village a couple of
days ago.
' The residents here received quite
a shock on Saturday morning when
it was learned that James Kirton,
4th line Turnberry, had passed away
about 2. a.m. On Friday evening
he had come in to the Christmas
tree and when in John Smith's store
lie took a stroke. Dr. Redmond of
Wingham was called and Mr. Kirton
was taken to his home and in spite,
of medical aid he passed away about
2 a.m. Deceased was well and
favorably known by a large number
of friends as he had resided in
Turnberry most of his Life. He is
survived by his wife and one son,
Eldon, who is 12 years old, also one
brother, John, who resides on the
4th Tine, and one sister, Belle. For
several years he has been connected
with 'the Howick Mutual Fire Insura-
nce 'Co. He was also an active mem-
ber and worker in the Presbyterian
church hero. ,In politics he was . a
Conservative. The sympathy of the
community is extended to the be-
reaved in their hour of sadness.

The funeral of James Kirton, of
Turnberry, who passed away sud-
denly Friday night was held Mondey
afternoon, interment being made in
the Wroxeter cemetery.
