Mrs. Milton Edmunson, who has
resided in the village for a great
number of years died at her home
here early Sunday morning. She,
was of a quiet disposition and held
in respect by all, She bad been in
declining health for a lumber of
years, but only confined to bed a
week. She is survived by her has- ;
band. A private funeral was held

Rev. E. Bolenbroke officiating after
which the remains were laid to rest
in the Wroxeter cemetery.

The Autumn Thank -offering ser-
vices of the Women's missionary
Society were held in the United
Church on Sunday, Rev, Samuel
Proctor, a missionary who has spent
15 years in Korea, gave addresses.
In the morning his theme was "old
Korea," and in the evening "New
Korea" or "The Unfinished Task."
Mr. Proctor in a very able and pleas- :
ing manner described the country of
Korea the people, the religious and
the contrasting conditions today with '
those existent in Korea 30 years ago.
The offering amounted to $120,00
which included 3 "memorians."
Wale. Stewart, second son of the
; late Donald and Mire. Stewart, of
Turnberry, died at Windsor oat Wed-
nesday last. A funeral service was
I held at the home of his sister Mr.
Roy Porter of Turnberry on Saturday
afternoon, after which interment was
made in the Wroxeter cemetery

where he spent this younger days.
Later he took a business course,
going to the southern states, where
he achieved success and had amasses
quite a fortune, but he was over-
come with ill -health a few years ago
to whadlt he succumbed at the ago of
49 years. She is survived by three
brothers, Alex and John of Windsor,
James of Sask. and two sisters, Miss
Agnes of Toronto and Mrs. Roy
Porter of Turnberry.

Chitualy-There passed away, in
Moose Jaw General Hospital, very
suddenly one of the old pioneers of
this district in the person of William
A. Hogg. He was born in Walsing-
ham, Ont., but moved, with his pare-
nts when quite a boy, to the Queen's
Bush, Grey Township, and helped to
clear the old farm Lot 5, con. 3, Grey.
He married Phoebe Srigley and five
children were born and raised in this
district. Later, the family moved
to Lot 8 con. 4, Grey and resided
there until they moved West. Here,y

Hugh Addy Pass's Away. --There
passed away on Friday evening at:
the home of his son. George, Hugh
Addy in his 84th year. The deeeas-
' ed was born in Vaughn Township in
the Comity of York, on May 31s1,
11845. 10 1572 he married Emma
Wilson of Brantford and after mar -
1
riage they resided in Haldimand Co.,
near Ilagersville for eight years. The
next 23 years were spent near Brant
ford and in 1901 they canto to Grey
Township where they bought the
Addy homestead and lived there un-
til 1911 wheal the old couple retired
from active work and moved into the
village. The late Mr. Addy was
the second oldest in a family Of 14
and of the family only two are now
left viz: a sister Nancy and a beep -
thee George bons living at the old
honie at Ragersville. Iiis Wifepre-
deceased him about four months ago
and since that time the late Mr,
Addy has made his home with Isis son
George. The lath Mr. and Mrs.
Addy were very well and favorably'
known in this community where they
have lived for 27 years. They were
loyal members of the former Meth-
odid ,hurell here and of the United
church where they were faithful. in
attendance when health permittdd.
The funeral was largely attended on
Monday afternoon, Private service
was conducted at the house and at
two o'clock a memorial service was
conducted in the 'United Church with
Rev. D. M. Guest in charge.. The
pallbearers were; Jas. McLennan,
George Eckmlre, Harvey Dobson, 5.
C. Howlett, Vodden and RAM.
Bremner. During the service a solo
was sung by Cecil Dateman.
