DRATII OP W. J. DRISCOLL.—The
(immunity was stuldenecl on Sunday,
feept. Oth, by the death that morning
of William John Driscoli, after an ill-
ness since June, Mt. Driscoll was
still in the prime of life, being in his
55th year. He was born on the farm
on which he died, eon of the late Ed-
ward and Mrs, Driscoll. and had lived
here all his life and was highly re-
spected by all with whom he came in
contact, being a man of high ideals
and square in alt his dealings. He
leaves to mourn a loving husband and
father, a widow, formerly Mire Mary
Rose, of Leadbury, to whom he was
married 18 years ago ; two sons, Ross
and Boyd, and one daughter, Doro.

McKillop ; Mee, E. Boyle Toronto;
Misses Susan, Margaret, Sarah and
Ida, at home. The funeral, which
was largely attended, was held Tues-

F. Smith conducted the services, as-

London, Miss Gilmour, who was in
her 21st year, was born at Penetang,
Ont., and resided in London during
her father's pastorate at Elmwood
avenue Presbyterian Glitirell, The
funeral was held on Wednesday after-
noon to Woodland cemetery, eervices
being held at the family residence at
2.30 o'clock, Rev. James McKay,
pastor of New Sr. James' Presbyterian
Church, will officiate. Much sym-
pathy is felt for the bereaved par-
ents who are well-known in Atwood
and vicinity, where Rev, Gilmour was
pastor of the Presbyterian Church for
a number of years.

illness of Mrs. Louis Frain, who was
taken to Wingham hospital on Sun-
day last where she underwent a ser -
10118 operation on Monday morning.
Mrs. Frain has not been enjoying
good health for some time but it is
hoped her receut opetettion will prove
beneficial.
DEATR Or ROBERT CARR. — There
passed away in Grey township on
September 2ncl, a respected resident
in the person of Robert Oarr, in his
80th year, following an illness of sev.
eral years, during which time he had
been a patient sufferer. Deceased
was a member of the United Church
on the Ethel Circuit in which he had
taken an active part in Sunday School
work. He leaves to mourn his loss
three sons and five daughters :—Mvs.

(lam Venom B. C. ; Mrs, David
Haire, Edmonton, Alta. ; James Oarr,
and Alex. Carr, 'Winnipeg ; Mrs.
Robert McBlain, at home ; Mrs. Tyn-
dall Ritchie and Mrs. Cenclair
pen, Wingharn. Hi, wife predeceased
him 39 years ago, also a daughter who
died about 24 years ago.. Deceased is
the first death in a farnily of 13 broth-
ers and 5 sisters. The floral tributes
were beautiful and included a pillow
from the family ; a wreath from the
Sunday School ; a wreath from Limis
and Mrs. Frain ; a wreath from Mrs.
Box, Stratford ; a wreath from the
Box family, Stratford ; and several
sprays from the grandchildren. In-
terment was made in Brussels ceme-
tery on Wednesday, Sept, 5th. Pall-
bearers were Louis Frain, William
Turnbull, George Warwick, Robert
Stenciller). Abraham Blithe!) and Aus.

Weir officiating, when Margaret
Leona, eldest daughter of Jno. A. and
Mrs. Brown, Blyth, became the bride
of Harvey M., eldest son of Wm, and,
Mrs, Robertson, of Bluevale. The
bride wore a white georgette gown
with lane trimming and carried a
baguet of Ophelia roses and lily -of -
the valley. She was attended by her
sister, Miss Mary Brown, who wore a
gown of pink georgette and carried a
boquet of pink and white asters.
Saul Rothmel, of Guelph, attended
the groom. After the ceremony, the,
young couple to the home of
the bride's parents where they were
greeted with the strains of Mendel-
ssohn's Wedding Marth, played by
the bride's youngest sister, Miss Ella
Brown, after whim) Misses Janet and
Gertrude Robertson, sisters of the
groom, sang "0 Perfect Love." A
wedding breakfast was then served it
buffet fashion to only immediate rel
atives. Peter McArthur, of Brussels
gave the toast to the bride and wa
responded to by the groom. Th
happy couple then left on a wedding
tour to Guelph, Toronto and Niagar
Falls, the bride donning a navy poir
et cape coat with black satin trim

The Hydro was Welted on in our
village, on Monday afternoon, and
several homes are now enjoying the
much longed.for Hydro power, while
the rest will be joined op as soon as
they are ready.
A large bomber from Ethel attend-
ed the anniversary services at Roe's
United Church, on Sunday last. The
church was filled at both services, and
the services of Bey, A. D. McDonald,
of Egmondville, and the Male Quar-
tette of Listowel United Church were
very much appreciated,

Susan's Visit," will be presented by
the young people of Bluevale in the
Tritytuthip Hall, on Fridity evening of
next week, ender the auspices of the
Ladies' Aid of the Presbyterian
church. The play to highly recom-
