Con- struction should easily exceed the 1000 -mile mark in 1928. ee 411 4I CANADIAN producers can well take pride in the statement of F. L. Bursows, secretary of the Canadian Council of Horticulture, that they are, to a greater degree than ever be- fore recorded, retaining the home market. But they should also eake heed to the warning given by Mrs. H. M. Aitken, of the Women's In- stitutes branch of the department of agriculture that in some lines of farm production, Canada is losing in the export markets by failing to keep up the quality. The highest standard properly marked, should be furnished to buyers of Canadian goods, whether they be In the home market or a- broad. As evening approached and his son did not return, Mr. Linklater, sr., be- came worried and telephoned to a neighbor, near the farm, to go and see if he had left the place. Upon entering the building that the men used while working on. the farm, the neighbor found Ewart dead. It is thought that he was accidentally shot the charge entering his head.
