Successful Bazaar.
A most successful I3afaar and
Fowl Supper was hold in the. Publie
Library last Saturday afternoon by
the ladies of St. Ambrose R. C.
church. Altough the weather was
not of the best at thnos there wad •t
good attendance from far and neat'
and all had most injoyable time. A
feature of the proceedings was the
drawing of prizes from tickets which
had been sold during 'the past catlpo
of months. The first prize of a
comforter 'went to Mrs. John Strath,
Toronto; 2nd. prize a cue glass lem-
onade set, to Chas. Armstrong, i 4th,
Con. •Grey; 3rd. prize, a centre piece,
to Miss Mary McDonald, Detroit.

Small Post Cards.
The Post Offi•ze Department has
arranged with the manufacturers of
post cards to cease making cards and
envelopes smaller than .atree by four
halals. This problem has elmeal
much trouble and delay in the host
office locally and elsewhere for a
number of - years past, as the extra
small cnvelopce will not go through a
regular cancelling machine and often
becomes lost in the mail. The public
has been requested by the dopiu't-
ment to stop using such cards if they
have any still in their possession.
