D. Parkes, a well-known and highly
respecters resident of Oath 1, Grey,
Passed suddenly away while sitting its
his chair, Deceased was born in Er-
in, in the County of Wellington, and
when 10 years of age came to Turn -
berry Township with bis parents,
He was trustee for a number of years
in Tnrtsberry Township and also in
Grey eettools until his death. He was
a Conservative in politics and a true
0rangentnn. Twenty-one years ago,
he was united in marriage to Eliza
Jane Reid, :vho stwvives him with
one eon, William John, Deceased is
taiso survived by three brothers,
Thomas, of London ; David, Detroit,
and Gearg.ge, of Emerson, and also one
sister in the United States. Decetteed

had the misfortune to lose his barn by
