activity he held many important ad-

which he distinguished himself, and

A peculiar accident occurred at the
harbour on Monday afternoon when
a Sedan owned by Jack Graham, local

over and sank to the bottom carrying
Graham with it. He smashed one of
the windows and struggled- to the
serfaeo. A line was thrown to him
and he was pulled ashore, Three

of which was still running. In the
evening it was raised and its lights
were still burning. With only a, few
elig'ht damages the car :z. still able
to run nod is the object of consid-
erable comment 'about the town. Mr,
Graham is very fortunate that the
