The night (Thursday last) was ideal foe such a gathering and everyone did justice to a wonderful meal serv- ed by the ladies in the basement of the church. 0n account of the in- tense heat the' waiters suffered some- what, but never the less they did their Wort cheerfully and well and maintained the reputation they have always had for putting up a .real meal., The program was enjoyed on the church lawn and as announced by the pastor was somewhat of a change from that of former years, but of a very entertaining nature. The Mune roe Entertainers, of London, put on the major part of the program in orchestra music, violin, trombone and singing numb11110, while their costumes were fine indeed. Another new en- tertainer for the evening was Dr, Reid, of Stratford, whose numerous numbers were march 0njoye(1 and en- cored heartily.
