Rural problems are to form a new departure in the work being taken up by .students of Alma Ladies' College, • St. Thomas, and it is expected such a study will be a great aid in under- , standing conditions' in the country 1 To undertake this study, a branch of the Girls' Institute was recently formed at the college, and the discus- sions will take part under the direct- ion of the Ontario Departnten, of Agriculture. Apart from the legal requirement MOTOR ACCIDENT INJURIES FATAL Miss Dierlamm, of Listowel, Succumbs in -St. Thomas - Was Oi:terville Teacher -In Highway Cresri Mon- day; Driver of Car Held. St. Thomas, Feb. 18 -As a result of injuries received in an automobile accident on the provincial highway near Orwell last Monday morning Miss Edna Blanche Dierlamm, of Lis- towel, who had been toachia;; school at Otterville, died in the Memorial Hospital here this afternoon. Miss Dierlamm suffered a fractured skill when the motor car in whish she was returning from Windsor with three others skidded from the highway and crashed into a hydro pole. The remains will be forwarded to Listowel tomorrow morning from the undertaking parlors of C. A. Towers & Son. Martin Smith, of Windsor, driver of the car in which Miss Dierlamm re- ceived her injuries, is now out on bail of $10,000 and will appear in court next Tuesday. .Palmerston Minister Receives Ottawa Call Palmerston, Feb. 18 -Rea. Joseph Semple, B. A. 13. D., of the United Church Isere, has received a call to the First United Church, Ottawa. Tho call is still under consideration. Rev.
