I anifest to Elect rs
To the Electors of the North Riding of Huron :
Ladies and Gentlemen:
As an independent Conservative Candidate for „re-election to the
Provincial Legislature, I herein solicit the votes and support of the elec-
tors of my riding.
1 regret my handicap in receiving my nomination at such a late date,
making it impossible on account of bad roads and weather, to see the
electors in person, and therefore issue this manifesto so that you may
intelligently know my views.
As 1 see there is only one conte ntimis question before the electors
at this time, viz., Government Control, The recoed of the Government on
all other legislation in my opinion should meet with the honest approval
of the electors,
My reason for accepting an Independent nomination was because of
the fact that 1 am opposed to Govee nment Control, and will not support
it.
My record of the past seven years is before you.
'
I have taken the most advanced step in the interest of the electors
of Huron County in securing lower and move equalized rates for neon
of Hydro light and pewee, and shall ever continue to do so.
1 have always been and will continue to be an ardent supporter and
advocate of the most progressive legislation in the interest of measures
for the benefit of agriculture.
Regardieg Township SchoolBoardsi This does not appeal to me,
anal 1 have given it no sepport what- e'er, and will always continue to
eepport any measures that will tend to lighten the burden of taxation.
I am a supporter of the GO.Yern-ment's legislation redoing the Auto-
mobile License reee, and ales the re-moval of the Annisement Ta.
