A varied program of races afforded pleasure for young and old, with a peanut scramble for the little folk. Several of those present availed themselves of the opportunity of a slip in the lake and semiotic games, while others enjnyed a sail on the blue waters of Lake Huron. When. eventide carne, bringing with it the close of a perfect day, a final, happy touch was another beautiful repast. She had been in ill -health for the pest four years and was a patient eufferer. Mrs. Grieve was an honored member of Winthrop 'United °hutch, For 23 years, she filled the position of Sem- trey of the Women's Missionary Soesety, very faithfully and efficient- ly. She was also a life member of the society. The service was conducted by her pastor, Res. J. A. Ferguson. Besides her husband, she is survived by an only sots, W. T.
