Annual exhibition of the Huron
County Poultry and Pet Stock As-
sociation will he held Tuesday, Wed-
nesday and Thursday, Dec. 21st, 22nd
and 231'd'at the town hall, Goderich.
A largely attended balnquel, was
held by the Goderich Board of Trade
in hoot). of H. P. Timmerman indus-
trial commissioner of the 0. P. R. A
large representation of memlels of
the Huron oounty Council was pres-
ent, in addition to businessmen and
citizens. Mr. Timmerman gave an
address in which he sketched in a
very interesting manner the develop-
ment of the C. P. R. and spoke of the
company's relationship to Goderich.
Among other adds eases was one by
SVtu'den Petty, who spoke for the
County Oouncil, William Campbell,
Godel'lch's veteran municipal officer,
sketched the commercial and indus-
trial history of Goderich clueing the
last 72 years. The speakers endeavor-
ed to impress the guest of the evening
with the need of a steamer connection
for Goderich, which the C. P. R. could
supply with great advantage in the
section bordering upon Lake Huron.
