Henry Garton, Whitechurch, died very
suddenly at his home, Whitecbureh on
Sunday morning, Oct. gist. He lied
been around the village - on Saturday
evening in his usu ,i health. Mr. Gar-
ton sled been subject to weak spells
for some.few years end it is thought he
had taken one of these spells which
caused his death. Mr. Garton was in
Ms seat year and had spent nearly all
his life itt that section, restditt with his
Mother, He was esteemed 'by merry
friends. The funeral Was held on Tees,
day afternoon to the Wingbam °smetery.
Deceased was a brother of Ed: and bliss
Maggie Berton, of Brussels.

ment of the dismantled Skatiug rink to
Hanover. It was Do small task but the

the time the rink is re -erected in its new
position it will put the cost up to sever-

church, having learned with deep regret
of your early removal from us, have as•

social hour with you before your depar-
ture. In the short time you have been
our Rector we have learned to admire
and esteem you for your many good
qualities of bead and heart. You have
been most zealous in the discbarge of
your duties, both in and out of the
church, proving yourself a most estim-
able citizen as well as an excellent
preacher, Your exposilion of the Word
has been most acceptable, and you have
striven earnestly, both by .precept and
example to inspire us with nobler and
loftier ideals of life and character,' and
we trust these efforts of yours may bear
good fruit, We desire, however, to give
you a more tangible expression of our
love and esteem than mere words con-

Mrs. Leatherdale. She always bad a
kind word and an open home and most
faithfully served her day and genera-
tion. Fancily tie was particularly strong
and every care and comfort was bestow-
ed on wife and mother by husband and
daughter and kind friends, A fine
woman has gone from our midst but her
confidence was in her Saviour and the
thought uE the future occasioned no
alarm as she consistently followed her
Lord for many a year. Eger name will
be long cherished and it can be, said of
her "She went about doing good."
