JAnilcs M uonea POUND all:AD.—The news that an old and well known resi- dent of this locality, in the person of James Maker, was found dead in his garden on the 10th inst., came as a surprise, He had not heen rugged for years and ae he was 76 years of age the vital organs seemed unable to function, The funerai took place to Elms Centre cemetery on Thanksgiv- ing Day. Mrs. Maker predeceased her husband by several years. A daughter, who kept hoose for her father, survives. Deceased was an hottest, somewhat easy going man, in- nofensive and desirous of doing right. Molesworth Thomas McKee, Toronto, visited with friends in the neighborhood. George Menzies has returned fromp a two months' bthsinsss trip to Bed- ford, Iowa.
