THE Knitting Factory had to take
some undesired holidays on account of
the non-anival of a car of coal for fuel in
supplying power, Coal arrived Monday.
The street oil and coat of sand was
applied to Turnberry street during the
past week. It should accomplish two
purposes, prevent dust and improve the
nignway.
A hustling game of Foot Ball was
played on Victoria Park Saturday even-
ing between the Sunshine team and a

There was some good sport and the visi-
tors put up a strong fight,
AT Kincardine races Thursday of last
week Dr. McRae's pacing mare won the
event in straight heats. There were 7
entries in the race. The name of the
winner is Elsie Campbell. A. R. Cor-
rie is her trainer and is justly proud of
her as is her owner.

a fine framed photo, of the late Corp.
Ross McKinnon, who made the supreme

Wednesday, July 7th, when their eldest
daughter, Luella M., was married to R.
J. MecLauchlin, Rev, A. J. Mann, 13.
A. officiating. Bride, who was given
away by her father, wore a tailored suit
of navy blue serge, navy taffeta hat and
corsage boquet of sweetheart roses and
maiden hair fern. The wedding march
was played by the groom's sister, Mrs,
R 'Thomson, After luncheon Mr. and
Mrs, MaoLauchlin lett for a motor trip
through Western Ontario. They will

Ham street, last Friday evening. The
grounds were illuminated with Chinese
lanterns and a gasoline light and the
old Union Jack floated from a staff
Piper Willie 0faue, of Glasgow, Scot-
land, who was visiting relatives at Moil -
Crieff for a short time, was the guests of
the evening and gave a choice program
of selections of music on the bagpipes
and the flute. He is most pr, ficieut on
either and responded to numerous re-
calls. Mr. Mann was here 15 years ago
and since then served in the world war.
He is married and has several bairns. A
namesake of the visitor, a well known
resident of Moncrieff locality, contribut-
ed several numbers on the pipes also.
The fine phonograph, owned by tho
host, added its gnota to the evening in
reproductions trona the Masters. A
very tasty and generous lunch was serv•
ed, finishing up with ice cream. Before
the well pleased guests departed a vote
of appreciation was passed to Mr. Scott
and family for their generosity and to
Messrs, Mann for their well appreciated
selectiuus, on motion of W. H. Herr anti

thought he had the best of it, The
company then formed a clasped bend
circle with Piper Mann in the ceutre,

Miss Grace Stewart arrived home last
Saturday ulglrt from a splendid holiday
occupying 7 weeks. Her travelling oom-
pauion was her cousin, Miss Kate Smith,
of Galt. The trip extended to Montreal,
Toronto, Winchester, Ottawa and other
points being visited en route. The

boat. A most enjoyable time Was spent.
