a gala day for the member's of the
"Little Bulidere" Mission Band of
Knox church, A jolly motor ride to
the pleasant home of Its President,
Mrs. Jas. Anderson, 6th line, Mortis,
was the first thing of interest. Dur-
ing the long golden hours of the after-
noon they played games, tan races,
waded the river and finished up tvith
a fine game of ball. Snapshots, ac-
companied with much metI'iment,

then came such a delicious supper,
none too soon though judging by the
entitle' rut appetite of all present., In-
doors the ladies quilted a quilt trade
by the members of the Band, Ape
propriate texts were embroidered in
red on white cotton with alternate
blocks of red. It is the intention of
the Band to send this quilt to a 'inepi-

Last Monday Wm, Ooopev went to
Stratford to the celebration and on

Thursday and formed an association
to be known as the Huron Oreinty
Collegiate Institute and High School
Trustee Association. Plana are to
meet twice a year or oftener if called
by request of any of the school boards,
W. Brydoue, Chairman of Clinton
Collegiate board, was appointed Presi-
dent, and R. E. Manning, Clinton,
Secretary. Matters of interest con-
nected with the schools will be die -
cussed and the claims of the united
boards will be presented to the vatioua
governing bodies, such as the County
Councils and provincial educational
