passed away earls- Sunday morning at
his home on Om ail., St. at the ripe

ceased was horn in Leese.; county, On-
tario, of good 1 11. Loyalist stock
and resided .et Athens until he remov-
ed to London Read. Tuckersmith, in
1871. He was inatI•ied twice, his first
wife passing away a, year or so after
their marriage leaving one daughter,
the late Mrs, Agues B. Wiltse, who
died last year at Btuss•'ls, and his
second wife passed away 4 years ago
in Clinton. The late Mr, Wiltse is
survived by two Anna aHartison and
Levi) and one daughter, Mrs, Raney,
of town. In his early life at Athens
he was magistrate r,1 the (;town. He
was a life-long. Liberal and a member
of the Ontario St. Methodist
church. Tier tate Mr. \Viltee moved
from the farm to rlinton in the Fall
of 1911, The funeral was held on
Tuesday afterri.wii and the services at
the house and graveside were con-
ducted by Iris pastor, Rev. S. Ander-
son. Pallbearers were t—James and
Wm. Miller, W. Grant and H. Pea-
cock. Interment was made at Clin-
tou cemetery. Among those from a
distance were :—Mrs. Herris, Pres-

Wawannsh, met with a vett' severe

when his barns with some live stock
and implements were destroyed by
tire. Origin of fire is unknown as
there was nn one about the barns
when it occurred. There was a small
insurance, not nearly sufficient to
compensate, for the loss. Sir Brad -
nock is an energetic, hardworking
man and it is regretable that he
should meet with this loss.

that William Hopper, an old and well
