HZIGH SHANNON DECEASED,— 'Itis with deep regret we report: the demise of Gladys A• Foster, beloved wife of Hugh Shannon. Lot 1, Con, 12 Hullett, which took place Tuesday of thio week, A baby daughter had been born a week before and both mother and child were doing appar- ently well when the foi•nter's left side was paralyzed, despite all that could be done she passed away as above stated, Mrs. Shannon was born in England and was 'married to her now bereft partner 7 years ago. She has 2 brothers and 2 sisters in Toronto and a brother. in Vancouver, B. C. The funeral will take place Thursday afternoon of this week, service to be conducted by Rev, Mr. Lundy, Wal- ton, at 1 p. m. Interment will be made in Brussels cemetery. Mrs. Shannon was most highly esteemed by all who knew her and her decease is a matter of sore regret. Deep sym- pathy will be accorded the bereaved. The baby girl is getting along nicely and will be treasured for the mother's sake among many other reasons. De- eeased was conscious to the last. Cranbrook Additional news on page 5. Afternoon theme was "The call to Matthew" and in the evening:tbe text was "What think ye of Christ?" Both discourses were good and received the close attention of the auditors. The music was in charge of talent from Brussels and Wingham and was much enjoyed, Afternoon 2 male quartettes were rendered by Messrs Willis, McCrack- en, Gilroy and Jackson. At the evening service a solo was snug by F. H. Gilroy, Brussels ; a duet by W. H. and Mrs, Willis, Wingham, and 2 male quartettes, and fitted in web with the plan of the service.
