Although deceased had been in poor health for some time his sudden passing will be a shock so his wife and family. Deceased was a quiet, industrious man and WWES highly esteemed by a large circle of friends. He was an employee of the Wingham Salt Works for a number of years. THERE has been a lively scramble iu many a household over the Milk supply, as Jas. Burgess' delivery wagon has ceased to carry -on as usual, owing to shortage of help at home• THE PosT would think, even in the midst of high priced cows and feed, a paying revenue might be derived from catering to this need where the work can be attended to without interfering with other interests. Years ago many people kept cows but nowadays dependance is placed in some- body's dairy. DEBATE —Monday eveuiug last a very interesting debate was held in Melville church, under the auspices of Y, P. BAD ACCIDENT —Waldo Miller's many friends In and about Brussels will deeply regret to hear of the sad accident which befell him on Sunday evening of last week while attending to his duties as baker in A J Nicholt's bakery, Wing - ham. His left hand was drawn Into the mixer, but with great presence of mind he braced hitnself and gave a terrific pull which tore off the forefingers of his hood, It is claimed that had be not done this he wou'cl doubtless have been drawn into the machine and killed, Mr, Miller was alone in the bakesbr p at the time of the accident and before rushing for medical assistance he coolly shut off the power. He at once was taken to the hospital where he is receiving the best of attention. A sufficient amount of skin tore of the baud to bold the four fingers together and they were after- wards fouud in the dough.
