Alexander McOluslcie, Grey township,
who recently moved here from Brus-
sels, died Wednesday, March .10th, in
his 54th year. Funeral wets held (00111

Molesworth, on Friday to Molesworth
cemetery, with service at tine house at
1.30 o'clock. Mrs. AlcOluskie end
family aredeeply sympathised with
in their sorrow. Mr. AlcOluskie's

illness of several months, aged 50
years. Last Fall he took a stroke at.

bust. He was the eldest son of the
late Duncan McDonald and wee born
on the 2nd Con. of Grey, afterwards
taking his uncle Alexander's fsrrn,

celebrated Wednesday of last week, at

Reeve William Elston, a well known
Monier I'arun'r, felled a lege soft elm
tree, and in the top of it was the Win-
ter home r,f a family of raccoons with
three lusty youngsters. Air, Elston
cut the tree into three logs and Clad
them sawed into lumber. They yield-
ed 2,804 feet, for which he received
$98.14 at $83 per thimsaud. Then Mr,
Eltlorl sold the skins of the enols for
$70, waking the total amount he real-
ized from the tree and its occupants
$168.14. Mr. Elston feels he has es-
tablished a record for high finance in
funs and lumber.
