The board, smiling at the idea of an increase, agreed, and the pastor has now advanced from the former four -line advertisement to a hundre lines, costing probably $15 for eac insertion. He thinks it pays to ad vertise, and the board is beginning t agree with hint. But there is an art in advertising, and as we have read column after column of church adver- tising which did not advertise we have wished that some good brother could devote a little time to snaking church advertising really effective. Probably there is no quicker nor surer method of reacting non -church: -goers than by means of the 4 news ItPP ars The church bulletin t i an d(heuI ' it notice p p once have their very detinue limitations but the newspaper goes into well- nigh every home, and in the hands of a wise than it may be made a me- dium of communication between the church and the man who doesn't go to church )even the soap -box can't reach the crowd like the newspaper.
