Congratulations to Archie and Mrs.
McMichael (nee Annie Wilson), who
were quietly married here on Wednes-
day, June 18th. After a short honey-
moon spent in Toronto, London and
various other places, they will make
their home in Brampton.
Mrs, J, A. McKee, of Sault Ste.
Mamie, formerly of this place, was
suddenly called home from Melfort,
Sask„ where she bad been visiting her
stepsons, A. G. and Thos. R. McKee,
and other relatives, owing to the sick -
nese and death of 'her son-in-law,
Amos Jewitt, who died June 18th
from a paralytic stroke.

big Liberal Convention at Ottawa as a
delegate fermi his city. Mr. Rea takes

perance Secretary Cooper, of Clinton,
gave addresses at Roe's and Union
churches on the Prohibition question
and the duty of the lovers of sobriety
' to the coming vote on the referendum.
Will. and Miss McTaggart and
daughter, Brandon, have been visiting
for a few weeks at the home of Don-
ald and Mrs. McTaggart. Mr, McTag-
gart is a Huron boy and has given a

OLD RESIDENT ENTERED INTO REST,
—After an extended illness Annabelle
Hanna, widow of the late Hugh Han-
na, answered the Great Roll Ottll last
Friday, passing away aged 77 yeats.
The funeral took place from her late
home, Se Lot 17, 000. 0, Monday after-
noon, interment• being made in Bios.

Hugh Hanna, who died nearly 15

survive (Mrs. Robert Gibsrnn, Sask, ;
Mrs. A. Smith, Deloraine, Man, t and
Miss Naomi at home), and three ate
deceased. A mend daughter, Miss
Margaret Mooney, is also a member of
the home, Two brothers (Witt, and
George Haunts, of Michigan ami Mtn*
itoba respectively) and a sister (Mrs,
W. Brown, of Michigan), also survive.
Mrs. Hanna was ill for 8 months prion'
to her demise but had not been rugged
since a strolte a paralysis tt year ago.
She was a true wife, a loving mother
and an excellent neighbor, She pass-
ed away to her reward with the as-
surance that she would be forever with
the Lomb. Deceased was tenderly
cared for during her illness. The be-
reaved share in the sympathy of the
community.
J. R. and Mrs, Plumsteel and Venda
and Albert Salter, Clinton, were visit-
ors with H. J. and Mrs. Manning.
The children are spending their holi-
day here for a week or so,
Corporal Robert Bird arrived home
from overseas last week, where he had
been doing duty for King George. He
crossed on the Maurentania and re-
ports a good trip. Welcome home
Bob.
Misses Readman and brother Peter,
have moved from the 7th line to Sea -
forth North. where they purchased
10 acres of land and will continue to
farm on. a small scale. They have the
good wishes of many old friends.

galiize the township of Morris in conn-
nection with the Referendum Cam-
paign will be held in the Morris Towtl-

painted address in the Methodist
church on the live question of Pro-
hibition and the people's part in the
coming referendum. The pastor as-

visitors with George and Mrs. Addy.
They were 0. Overland, wife and fam-
ily ; F. Davis, wife and family and
John and Mrs. Barron. The visiting
ladies are sisters of the hostess.
Wednesday evening of next week a
public meeting of Grey township
electors will be held in the Presby-
terial] church here to arrange for the
Referendum campaign near at hand.
Grey usually gives a good account of
itself and big things are counted this
Fall. Attend.
Saturday evening after coming
from the picnic, Wesley, eldest son of
Jno. McNeil, eomplainedlof nob feel-
ing well and as he didn't seem to get
better the doctor was called and pro-
nounced it appendicitis. An opera-
tion followed on Sunday evening and
at time of writing the young lad
seems to be progressing favorably.

Hanna, widow of the late Hugh Han-
na, answered the Great Roll Ottll last
Friday, passing away aged 77 yeats.

Mrs. Hanna was ill for 8 months prion'
to her demise but had not been rugged
since a strolte a paralysis tt year ago.
She was a true wife, a loving mother
and an excellent neighbor, She pass-
ed away to her reward with the as-
surance that she would be forever with
the Lomb. Deceased was tenderly
cared for during her illness. The be-
reaved share in the sympathy of the
community.
