1Nvrrn LONDON CONFERENCE.— The
London Conlerenee of the Methodist
church is to be invited to meet in Gode-
rich next year, the Official Boards of the
two Methodist churches of that town
decided to issue such an invitation,
The meeting is held annually about the
first week in Julie and is a large and im-
portant gathering. Last time Confer-
ence met iu Goderich was in 1907,
shortly after the completion of the new
North street church. The only objec-
tion to Goderich as a meeting place is
that, like.Walkerville last year, it is
located too much 10 one end of the
territory covered by the Conference,

"Rev, John Ball conducted an impres-

church, Arkoma, Sunday evening in
memory of the late and lamented Arko-
ma lads, Ptes, C. F. Jackson, Wm, Tor-
rington and Sergt. Gordon L. Brown,
who fell in action at the front. The
esteem in which these young men, were
held by the community is attested by the
large audience in attendance to do honor
to their memory, The other congrega-
tions with Reeds. 0, W, King and 0. B.
Ratcliffe were preset to join in the ser-
vice, Lawrence Grogan sod Miss Fox,

selections, respectively, "Thy will be

Friday the news of Sergt. Browu's

end of hostilities, it was exceptionally
trying. The deepest sorrow and sym-
