-At 3 30 p. m, last Saturday a well
known former resident of this town-
ship in the person of Dnitean McArth-
ur, died a0 Fergus hospital, whither
he had gone last February,. On Jan-
uary 1st he suffered a stroke of paraly-
sis while boarding in the Queen's
hotel, Brussels, and went to the
hospital, where he had the care of a
special nurse. Deceased was the 3rd
son of the late Peter, and Anne Mc-
Arthur and was born in Aegyleshire,
Scotland, nearly 82 years sago. He
came to Canada wilh ulembOrd of the
family in 1853 and after a sojourn
moved into Morris township in 1855.
The snhject of this notice bought 100
acre farm on the 7th line which he
sold a number of years ago to Richard
Bewley rind retired, He continued to
be very active and retaineil his vitrality
I.o a marked degree, exhibiting very
few signs of tnHrtnity, not • to be
wondered at in a marl up in the SO'S.
Mr. McArthue never married. He is
survived by 3 brothers (Alex., in Scot-
land; Colin, rum of Lucknow local-
ity and Peter, flth line Morris.) There
are also 2 sisters living (Mrs, D. Mc-
Donald, Lncknow, and Mrs. M. Ma

from a visit with her daughter, Nlrs,
R. A. Robinson, in Regina locality,
has disposed of her 75 acre farm, 14th
Con., McKillop, to Me. Lycliatt, of
Walton, The Dennison family lived
in McKillop for ever 40 years, Mr,
Robinson has 400 acres in wheat and
600 acres of oats so will have a busy
time harvesting. lie has a threshing
outfit ofhis own. Chops are looking.
well. Mr. Robinson was a former
resident of McKillop township.

next charge and he will be succeeded

bility and the penalties are severe.
Anyone with the opinion that regis-
tration is not essential and that fail-
ure to registrar will not result serious-
ly should consult his nearest Deputy
Registrar and have him read portions
of the Registration Act, Registra-
tion is law it must be complied with.
Registrants are requested to post
themselves regarding the questions
that will be asked. Tread the ads, in
the daily and weekly press and consult
your nearest Deputy who will give
yoti information.
Young men registered under the
Military Service Act are advised to
take their eertiflertte to the booth so
their serial number can be correctly
remitted.
Parents will be asked the number

make sure that these children will not
be recorded twice -once by each par-
ent,
