the home of Mrs. Alex. Strachan, Fri-

we have a lady volunteer to pay the sum

A. T, Hawkshaw, of Toronto, former-
ly teller in the Standard Bank, Brussels,
was in town for a few days. He joins
the 7otb Buttery, in the Queen city,
with a host of other bank employees and
will go into training at once. It is
about 6 years since he was in Brustels.
He was a welcome visitor.
John and Mrs Batemau have gone to
Wrigleville, Sash . for an extended visit
with 'P. I. and Mrs. Jerilyn, relatives.
They spent Sunday in Toronto at the
homes of Mr. Bateman's brother and
sister. This ie Mr. and Mrs. Batetnau's
first trip to the West so we onset it
will be specially enjoyable. They have
