Obituary
Mrs. Walter Sharpe
A highly respected resident of
the ceinlnunity passed away . in the
person of Mary Ana Sherrie, be-
loved wife of Walter Sharpe, whose
death 0000) ed at her home on
Turnherry street, Brussels on the
evening of Thursday, April 28111,
Tau weeks, ago Mrs, Sharpe fell,
breaking a hip and shoulder, ,She
never re000010d from these injuries
being confined to her bed tram that
11)100. She bore the pain and 'suf-
feeling with fortitude and cheerful-
ness.
'l'he deceased was born in the vil-
lage of St. Helens, being the (laugh•
ter of James. Sherrie and his wife
Mary MoKenzie. She resided for a
time in Goderieh but .or the past
twenty years, had lived in Brussels,
There remains to mourn their
loss, her now bereft partner, one
steer, Miss Rebecca 'Sburrie, Brute-
seta and one brother John Sherrie
of Grey township.
The funeral services' took place
from her late home on Monday,
clay 2nd, Rev. W. A. Waimea of
Cranbrook had charge of the ser-
vices. Interment was made In
Brussels cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Jas. Burgess,
Leu Williamson, Wm. Little, John
Creme, Peter Stewart and Chas,

Milton F. Smith
Following an illness that extend-
ed over several months, Milton F.
Smith passed away at his home on
Tuesday, April 26th,
He wa0 born at Bluevale sixty
years ago, the youngest son of elle
late M1', and oris'. Wiliam Smith.
He was married thirty years ago to
Lucy Rattan and lived on the Smith
farm adjoining the tillage until a
few years ago he purchased a Harm
at Browntown, 2nd Concession of
Morris Township,
Mr, Smith has not enjoyed good
health for a long time and he bore
his suffering with Cluristian resigna-
tion, air. Smith was- a3ways- deep-
ly interested in the affairs of the
church end was especially interest-
ed in the work of the choir of
which he was a faithfut member
when health permitted.
He is survived by his wife, two
daughters, Donne, nurse -in -training
at Clinton General Hospital; liars.
Norman Hoover, Brussels and one
sun Ross at Monte; two sisters, Mrs.
Fred- Dennis, • Caistorville; Mrs•,
,lahn Gannett, Toronto and Rev.
William nth of Islington.
The funeral was held. on Thurs-
day afternoon, following e' sliert
private service at his late residence,

the service Miss Attee Thornton
