their Opening meeting at the Public
Library, Monday evening, with
about 25 tneanbe;rs being present, the
President, A, Wood, in the chair,
Iden Ashton, secretary, read the
minutes of the last regular meeting
which were aPproved as read.
The eleotion of officers was held,

eeutation of certificates ot the Re-
gional Training School was held Fre
day evening in the United Church
with ;Miss Helen Baelter in charge.

Huron County Junior Association
was brought to a close with a Bowl-
ing Party et which about eighty-
five former Huronites' were present,

To Orval Lemon
Prior to his departure to hie horse
here Orval Lemon, :Mitchell, was
made the re:ciirient of gifts by a
number of friends there, about
thirty of whom gathered at the
Hughey and Wettiauter gas station
on the East Mahe Street, Mitchell
Met Thursday evening, and present-
ed Orval with a Pen and pencil set,
and a brush and comb set,
Mr. Lemon operated the station
for the past few years. Although
taken completely by surprise, he ex-
pressed his appreciation eery fitting-
ly, A pleasant social trine followed.
