Trenton, Will Be Returned
to Goderich
Goderich, Oct. 22.,• -Police here
have been informed that George
Leclair, young Montrealer, who
broke jail here over a Year ago. is
being held at Trenton He has
been a fugative from justice for 19
months and when Peterboro court
chargers are concluded, he will be
brought here to face .charges of
vagrancy, escaping from jail and
breaking parole.
Leclair was remanded to Huron
County jail on March 26, 1936, The
next day a Goderich man, serving
itime, fractured his ankle- in the jail
yard and while he was being re-
moved on a stretcher to a Waiting
ambulance outdoors, LeClair calmly
walked out of the jail behind the
surgeon and the accident victim and
Was not heard of until this week,
