and Mrs, 3, Wilton gave current
events,
Mrs, Robert Henchman, wife of
the Federal Member for Iluron-
Bruce, was the guest speaker a'td
gave a splendid account at the
legislation enacted ny the Hepburn
Government. Lunch was served at
the close of the meeting.

Esteemed Citizen
of Mitchell Dead
John Pugh Passes In 85th Year
Following Heart Attack
• :t very highly esteemed resident
of Mitchell for about thirty years
passed away at his home, Trafalgar
street, an Thursday in the person of
John Pugh, in his 355th year. Four
years ago Ite'suffered an attack of
rheumatics which left hint an inva-
lid though able to get about in his
wheel chair, On Thursday he suf-
fered
urfered a heart attack from which

Born in England, son of the late
\It•. and Mrs. John Pugh, he cants

Mary Ramsay, daughter of the late
MIr. and Mrs. Ailau Ramsay of
Morris township. After their mar-
riage they settled in Brussels where
they resided for 23 years before

Mr. and Ilre. Pugh celebrated their
golden wedding. He was a mem-
ber of Knox Presbyterian church
and while health permitted was a.

1". of Brussels, Mr. Pugh possessed
a character of sterling qualities and
was believer by young and old. He
was a great fisherman and keenly
followed all forms of sport. He was
especially fond of little children;
