A stylish costume was noted in
Central Park this week, worn by a
charming girl yet in her teens, with
a face like a flower and her hair
like spun gold. The dress was
made of palest violet silk -warp cash-
mere, with a sheen of pink in it.
The close fitting bodice was a tri-
umpL of artistic fitting. it was
pointed front and back, and button -
en up the back from collar to point,
there were double skirts of the
cashmere finished with a hem six
mattes deep, this covered with an
embroidery to shaded heliutrope
blossoms, the skirts were intrioately
draped, the bodice ens severly plain,
showing only a chemisette set half
way down the front, made of the
embroidered cashmere. The hat was
made of cream -white straw, trimmed
with pale violet ostrich trips.

Miss Jennie Anderson, daughter
of James Anderson, one of the most
prominent agrioulturaliets of Fuller-
ton township, was married recently
to Samuel Ferguson, an inspector
of schools from Minnesota. At-
tached to the marriage there is a
species of romance. About two
years ago William, youngest son of
George Russell, of Downie, went
,west to seek his fortune. He pull.
ed up at St. Cloud, Minnesota, and
by his superior skill and intelli-
gence he received the appointment
of Special Court stenographer for
the St. Oloud judicial district—a
very good position for a young lad.
Amongst his friends in that coun•
try was a Samuel Ferguson, and in
looking through Russel's album
one day, his attention was attracted
by a young lady's photograph—Miss
Jennie Anderson, a Canadian 'sous-
in of Russell's. 'I tell yon Rug.

weeks ago, when Mr. Russell came
home to visit his parents and the
good old home, and Mr. Ferguson
came for and took away a bonnie
bride. Air. and Mrs. Ferguson
