Arthur McInnis has disposed of his 100

Clegg, of Morris, at a good figure. Mo.

Having seen several pieces giving the
number of woras written on n postal card
we do not hesitate to say that Miss Mag-
gie Duke, of this township, has surplice -
ed all, she having accomplished the un-
paralleled feat of writing in general cows
the number of 3,219 words, every word

Tho Literary meeting was hold in
Shiue's school house lest Monday even-
ing. There was a large attendance. The
program was very amusing and well car-

BOLIDS.-On Wednesday of
this week about 70 guests assembled at
the residence of Thos. Wilkinson, 4th
line, to witness the celebration of the
marriage of MisA Ann Jano Wilkinson to
Thos. Wilson, V.S„ of Ripley. The
ceremony was performed by Rev. J. S.
Fisher, of Helniesville. The bride was
attended by her sister, Miss Ella Wilk-
inson, and Mr. Harris, of Ripley, waited
on the groom. A large number of valu-
able presents were made to the bride. In
the afternoon 21 utter loads of young
folios went to Brussels for a drive. Be.
fore their return a large umber of upsets
were counted owing to the pitch holes
and snow banks. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson
have the best wishes of a large circle of
friends for their future happinese.
