When about four- teen, witlliu the space of one year her parents and one sister wore removed by death, and this devolved upon her, at this early age, the mute) cares of the family and the duties of the household, which she faithfully performed until within the short space of six years her two remain- ing 5i5ters'and one brother wore also re- . inovecl by the dread tyrant, death, thus 10491ligher alone in the world. Some fourteen year; ago she crossed the At- lantic auc!loeated in Toronto where 0110 was engaged in the Millinery and Fancy Goods establishment of ]lir. MoMurrey. About five years ago her health began to fail and elle visited her cousins, Jamie Kelly, Mrs. Wm. Norton and Mrs. Hinds, in Brussels, last fd11, returning to her home in Toronto on Nov. 1 and on the 10th of December, 1886, her spirit took its flight. During her illnes She had the best medical aid, but without . avail, and she was also attended by sortie of • the moot respectable ladies of Toronto, Mayor Howland himself taking quite an interest in her. The last rites of the church were administered to her by the Rov, John Potts, D.D,, and to him she expressed the confidence in the future, which can only come from a faithful heart.
