Oluoas, of Goierioh. • The walla and ceiling have been kelsomtn- ed a lavender color. All around the wall, next the ceiling, is a range of painted herder. The counters, doors, drawers, office, Stairs, and millinery room have been beautifully grained, in imitation of oak and walnut, and varnished. AOOIwENT,—Last Saturday after. noon as E. E. Wade was driving over the bridge, with a span of horses from the livery stable of T. O'Neil, the team took fright and ram away. The buggy wheel came in contact 'with the sidewalk opposite the American hotel and Mr. Wade was thrown out with great violence, hie head coming in contact with the road. To make matters worse the lines had caught around Mr. Wade's ankle and he wee dragged on the street to the Queen's hotel *here the team was stopped. Willing hands soon nelpecl him into the hotel and his head was dressed and he was taken home. His hip was badly bruised but had it not been for his presence of mind in grasping the hind wheel and thus keeping his head from dragging the results might have been very serious.
