look through Reeve Rogers' store and
was very much plensed with the tasty
job of H. Oluoas, of Goierioh. • The
walla and ceiling have been kelsomtn-

wall, next the ceiling, is a range of
painted herder. The counters, doors,
drawers, office, Stairs, and millinery
room have been beautifully grained,
in imitation of oak and walnut, and
varnished. The lvindo19 blinds are
now the same color as the wells, and
the whole iuterior of the store is
neat, attractive and done in a Bier

AOOIwENT,—Last Saturday after.
noon as E. E. Wade was driving over
the bridge, with a span of horses from
the livery stable of T. O'Neil, the
team took fright and ram away. The
buggy wheel came in contact 'with the
sidewalk opposite the American hotel
and Mr. Wade was thrown out with
great violence, hie head coming in
contact with the road. To make
matters worse the lines had caught
around Mr. Wade's ankle and he wee
dragged on the street to the Queen's
hotel *here the team was stopped.
Willing hands soon nelpecl him into
the hotel and his head was dressed
and he was taken home. His hip was
badly bruised but had it not been for
his presence of mind in grasping the
hind wheel and thus keeping his
head from dragging the results might
have been very serious. Mr. Wade
was starting for Seaforth when the
accident took plane. F. Berry was
in the couveyance but jumped out
when the horses started to run.
