m..ute in the Town Hall last Friday
auct Saturday evenings, under the an -
spices of the I. 0. 0. F. Mr. Dope's
abilities were not exaggerated in the
least by the flattering press notices
that proceeded hits. The first even-

recital of that excellent piece of com-
position untitled "Damon and Pyth-

in a very life -like manner and the
dramatic impersonation was excelleut.
The program on Saturday night was
made up of short sketches, humorous,
sentimental, and tragic, ,"Tho Pem-
berton mill," "How Ruby played,"
were specially well given, as was also
Tennyeon'e poem, "Revenge." Mr.
Cope is master of his profession and
gives an entertainment well worthy of
the support of the public. We aro
eorry to say the audiences were small,
too small to encourage any other so.
oiety to bring a good troupe or com-

that a darky show will draw a full
house but let a number one entertain-

seats to spare. During the first even-

ald sang in a vary acceptable man-
ner "Oneday 1' W. M. Sinclair sang
"Warrior bold" "Killarney" and

to look at the planet Venus, which
