The tables, set in the basement, were well sup- plied with what would tempt the tippet Otte and satisfy the wants of the inner. man, The large company adjourned to the audience room after supper and Rev. 3. L. Kerr WAS called to preside as chairman. Short, crisp, and interesting addresses were made by Revd. S. Jones ; T. McGillicuddy, of Goderloll ; Rev. J. S. Cools, of Bluevale ; Rev. J. Rose, B. A., and Rev, W. Smyth. The musical part of the program consisted of a pretty solo from Mrs. Cook, a duett from Mr, and Mrs. Cook, a solo from Miss Herr and anthems from the choir. The music was good. Oysters were served at the close, The proceeds amounted to about $'75. 0n Sunday the anniversary sermons wore preach- ed, morning and evening by Rev. W. S. Jamieson, of Stamford, who dis- coursed from the texts "Let that mind be in you, &o," and "Ye are My friends if ye do whatsoever I command you." He is full of ener- gy and warmth and will rise in the connexion. The pastor preached an interesting sermon on the Resurrec- tion at 2;80 p.m. The anniversary services all through were a 9000058. Owing to illness he takes this opportuulty of addressing the electors. THE Salvation Army held their jubilee on Monday evening in the Town Hall. There were a large number of officers and soldiere pres- ent from other stations and the Hall was well filled by the residents of Brussels and surrounding oountry. One of the principal attractions of the evening was the presentation of a flag to Capt. Conner and Cadet Col - line, for the Brussels corps, by Major Coombs. The testimonies given by some of tbs officers and soldiers had a good effect upon many in the aud- ience, but an old saying is "That no circus is complete without a clown," and the light, trifling singing of the "minstrel" not only knooked any good thoughts out of it person's head but made one tltiok of some darky strel troupe, with an ocoaeional dance thrown in. This kind of perform- ance may help draw a crowd but any such exhibition should never be given under tiro guise of religion. Every- body got their 15 conte worth, how• ever. THE TELGaraxxs.--Last Wednesday evening the Town Hall was fairly wall filled, considering the darkness of the night and the constant stream of en- tertainments being held at this season of the year, by a very appreciative audience. The cricket elub had se. cured the services of the well-known Telgmann Septette Club, who, with Canada's basso, Chas. Felly, thrilled the audience as only good music can. The family performed their selections sos in quick succession enlivened the on the violin in a manner that shows speeding boors till the 'wee lima' hours them to be peers in their profusion. ayont the 'twain warned the jovial crew it was limo to disperse. Three cheers for The piano, and violin solos were ex eelleutly rendered. hiss Dorotta Telgmann, who is styled the Canad- ian Patti, sang several solos in good style. Perhaps, the most interesting part of the program wets the singing of Chae. Kelly. He is too well known 10 Brussels to need any introduction. 1114 voioo was in good condition, and BB he rolled out Buell solos as "Aloud fu tho desert," "The Divas," "Com- mitted to the sleep," &e., the audience Caught the inspiration and he was en- cored two or three times in succession. He is a magnificent Binger and the way lie reaches the low ease notes is something marvellous. His banjo solos took well. Spring Wheat Barley Oats Peas Butter, tubs and rolls .... The corpse was brought here Monday aftorucon and tho in- terment was made in the Bruseele cemetery. ONE of the celebrated grinders, manufactured by W. R.
