the same gentleman. After the usual
votes of thanks the gathering was
dismissed by the benediction. The
proceeds amounted to over $16. This
will be applied in furnishing supplies
for the echool.

tree entertainment was announced to
be held in S. S. No. 4, on Saturday
evening, Dec. 19th, but owing to the
inclemency of the weather it was post -
poised until Monday evening. Samuel
Ames was duly elected chairmen after
a few remarks were made by the
teaoher. Mr. Ames took the chair
amidst great applunee, and after a
few welt -chosen and appropriate re-
marks proceeded with the following
program, which was well rendered by
all who took part in it. "Glory to
