Have issued their reoeptio number of
the Illustrated Wer News. This
number is one of unusual interest.
It contains sixteen lieges, and the
illustrations are eutirsly composed of
scenes in connection with the return
of the volunteers from the North-
West. The publishers sunt special
artists to Winnipeg and other prin-
cipal points to report duel illustrate
the proceedings, and have gone to
considerable expense in getting auth-
entic sketches of the various demon-
strations all over the Dominion. A.
racy account of incidents aucl exper-
iences of the troops returning home
is written by Capt. C. \V, Allan, who
accompanied some of them from
Port Arthur, and is illustrated by J.
W. Bengough in hie best style. This
number is, in every respect, the best
which has yet been issued, and is
worthy of beiug sent away to friends
all over the world, ae a representation
of the receptions tendered our return•
ing heroes. We understand there
has been already can enormous de-
mand for this issue, and the publish-
ers have had great difficulty 1n fil-1-
ing orders. Certainly everybody who
apprearatos the work done by our
brave volu steers should have a copy.
The publishers will mail copies post

price, 15cts., or it can be obtained
