Cook, of Seaforth and two loads of
soldiers, "Limber Jim," of I.larriston
and other outsiders were present.

RUNAWAY.—Last Wednesday as
Mrs. John Ewan and daughter, of the
15th con. of Grey, were driving into
town, their horse took fright at a dog
nearly opposite Dr. Holmes', and ran
away, hiss Ewan would probably
have managed the beast bad not her
mother grasped the lines. The horse
upset ilio rig and throw the two ladies
out, injuring both of them, the
mother thio more seriously, The rig
was badly demoralized, although the
horst did not get away very far be-
fore it was caught by S. Steele.
CRICKET. --A cricket match will he
played on the park next Monday,

last week Roderick Ross, of Brussels,
end Miss Willie, of Listowel, were
